Always a surprise and a pleasure to see his photo end up on the cover of a magazine. It’s Hotdogger who a year later uses one of my images again as the cover of their last issue. And again a photo taken in slow speed, if I did the counts, I would say 2-2 ball in the center, but who counts this kind of thing!
For the record, I spent the day in Bidart perched on a cliff. I took advantage of a big return to swell to go in search of a new angle. The day finally remained covered throughout, only 15 minutes will have lit up just as the sun sets. The perfect time to try and play with tones and colors at low speed. I can’t even say how many images I made in that precious quarter of an hour but it was clearly the best time of the day. And it is always a pleasure to see this image end up this way! Always a fan of this rather painting type rendering.
Here is the original for the curious!
