Second cover! This time with the little magazine created by Eric Chauché, one of the biggest names in French surf photography and an honor to see my image come to the fore. Especially since I checked it off as having that potential for other posts, but it’s better than one. The surfer in the photo is the Vendée Tristan Guilbaud with whom I managed to connect in this express session on the Gravière beach in the Landes.
For the record, I had just returned from my trip to Indonesia when the conditions met on the Gravière spot in Hossegor to give us a great sunrise. This is really the timing you had to have since the window lasted about 45 minutes and then nothing, back home. It was therefore necessary to make money quickly and I was lucky to have this pretty wave of Tristan Guilbaud within reach of my goal. Hardware level, a 24-105mm that I love in these conditions, no more fisheye and GoPro rendering for me. Speaking of over-consumption! Very happy to see an image featured in this way in a magazine and even more so by someone I admired for their career and their images.
