Following my follow-up of the French surfing teams on the Olympic preparations that took place in 2022, here I am this time in the team’s suitcases for the ISA World Surfing Games 2023 which took place in El Salvador.

World Championships with a lot at stake, since 8 tickets (two per continent) for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were awarded during the competition. The team was composed of Kauli Vaast, Maxime Huscenot and Joan Duru for the men; and Johanne Defay, Pauline Ado and Vahine Fierro for the women.

For me, the program was clear, continuous creation of photo & video content for daily feeding of social networks, with a maximum follow-up of what was possible to do as a behind-the-scenes image. Editing of episodes and capsules presenting the place and the athletes as well. In short, I didn’t slack off!

After 10 days of battle and fierce returns, Kauli Vaast and Vahine Fierro beat their European counterparts and won the two tickets for the Games that will take place at home in Tahiti. Johanne Defay finished 3rd, Vahine 4th and Kauli 5th. Contract fully fulfilled therefore, for them as for me.
